Flights for Life
We are delighted to have been approached by Flights for Life whose aim is to provide sick and terminally ill children with a unique experience, that of flying in a vintage aircraft. This is an experience that will give encouragement and motivation to them to continue their treatment.
Flights for Life is a registered charity based at Wickenby Airfield in Lincolnshire. The charity has been set up with the aim of providing sick and terminally ill children with the opportunity to experience the magic of flight in a vintage aircraft. It has been shown that when youngsters are undergoing treatment for terminal and life threatening illnesses, the thrill and excitement of flying not only provides them with a relief from treatment but also gives them encouragement and motivation to continue with their fight.
All aircraft used by Flights for Life are maintained to the highest of standards as laid down with the Civil Aviation Authority. All pilots are fully qualified, hold valid & current licences and have been CRB checked.
