Ever since James was diagnosed we have been posting blogs on Myspace telling James story of his journey with cancer. James gained a following in excess of 300,000 people around the world. We were able to pass on information to parents about James symptoms, diagnosis and treatment. During this time it became apparent that there was a lack of awareness and I felt that I could make a difference but not a big enough difference.
Recently I moved onto Facebook and was introduced to a group of like minded parents who were setting up “Be Child Cancer Aware” and I was honoured when I was asked to join this Charity.
Together we can make a major difference to awareness of Childhood cancers. It has become so apparent to me how important this campaign is when talking to other parents (especially parents with healthy children) and even the two consultants treating my son are telling me that this sort of campaign is definitely needed.
